BigHigh5 NFP ("BigHigh5," "BH5," "we," "us," or "our") is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions made through our platforms may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility in your specific situation.
The BH5 Fund is not a managed investment account, brokerage account, or financial product of any kind. BigHigh5 is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial institution. We do not manage money on behalf of donors or contributors in any fiduciary capacity.
The BH5 Fund is a charitable operating fund held and administered exclusively by the BigHigh5 board of directors. All capital held by the BH5 Fund belongs to BigHigh5 NFP as a legal entity — not to any individual contributor.
Contributors do not own, control, or have any legal claim to any portion of the BH5 Fund or its income. When you contribute to BigHigh5 through any of our platforms, you are making a charitable donation to BigHigh5 NFP. That donation becomes the sole property of BigHigh5 NFP upon receipt.
Any "contribution weight," "advisory balance," "fund contribution weight," or similar metric displayed on our platforms is a purely advisory figure used internally to inform the board's grant-making decisions. It does not represent ownership, equity, a share of assets, or any legal or beneficial interest.
BigHigh5 platforms track contribution weights and charity preferences to inform — on an advisory basis only — the board's decisions about which charities to direct grants toward. This advisory framework:
The board of directors of BigHigh5 retains full and exclusive discretion over all fund distributions, grant-making, and platform operations at all times.

No contributor has any recourse against BigHigh5 for any such changes, regardless of any prior advisory commitments or platform-displayed projections.

For anonymous donations made through our Anonymous Giving platform, BigHigh5 holds net donation proceeds for approximately 90 days before directing a grant to the designated charity. This escrow period is an operational policy, not a legal obligation. BigHigh5 reserves the right to modify this window at any time, to hold funds longer for compliance or legal reasons, or to redirect funds if the designated charity loses its tax-exempt status or cannot be verified.
The $35 Charity Tree contribution is a charitable donation to BigHigh5 NFP. The platform split ($5 operating, $25 seed pool, $5 lineage cascade) describes how BigHigh5 internally accounts for and allocates that donation across its grant-making activities. These internal accounting allocations are not legally binding obligations. BigHigh5 uses its best efforts to operate the platform as described, but reserves the right to modify the mechanics at any time.
Charity Tree contributions may be eligible for a refund within 72 hours of payment, provided the contributing advisor has not yet sent their five invitations. Once invitations are sent, the contribution is irrevocable and no refund will be issued under any circumstances. Anonymous donations are non-refundable.
